RED trio latest album with John Butcher, Empire, is listed on the best records of 2011 list on the New York Jazz City Records.

Ipsilon, a weekly cultural magazine from the national portuguese newspaper "Público" awarded RED trio's and John Butcher "Empire" album on NoBusiness records as one of the best records of 2011.

RED trio will play the 14th October in Sibiu, Romania at the "Jazz and More" Festival. The festival features Jazz, improvised music and contemporary music.

RED trio will play on the first edition of Cinecoa Film Festival. We will play a improvised soundtrack for Lumière brothers movies - the first movies ever made.

Our newest album with John Butcher is out now on the Lithuanian NoBusiness Records label.

RED trio will play at the 26th edition of the international musicfestival "Ulrichsberger Kaleidophon". There will be 11 concerts - all takeing place in the building of the Jazzatelier, in Ulrichsberg / Austria. 27 Musicians from Europe, USA and Asia will perform fresh sounds from different musical areas like Jazz, Improvised Music and contemporary composed music.

RED trio will play at the renown portuguese festival "Jazz em Agosto" organized by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. The concert will take place the 14th August at 18:30.

RED trio will resume it's collaboration with saxophonist John Butcher at the upcoming Imaxinasons Festival next 1th July in Vigo, Spain.

Next 8th and 15th May RED trio will be playing at New York and at Chicago at the Clean Feed festival 2010 edition.

Next 7, 8, 9, and 10th April RED trio will play and record with John Butcher on several concerts in Portugal.

This was RED trio's first concert abroad and it was the CD presentation. At the concert we had as special guest the bass clarinettist Jason Stein. The concert was at the Clean Feed day at the Festival.

Finally and after a long wait RED trio’s debut CD at Clean Feed is out!

At July 2008 we where lucky to be able to do a three day residency at Moagem, Fundão. We played and recorded for hours and hours and the result was impressive: the trio got a new sound and we lots of recording sessions with extremely interesting material. At the end of the residency we had a concert.
